FAQ
Q: How do I play? Do I need a law degree to play this game?
A: No. In fact, having a law degree may make it hard to engage in such legally dubious speculation :)
You can learn more about how the game works by checking out The Rules.
Q: When will my order ship?
A: Right now, due to the coronavirus, we recommend purchasing from Amazon for home delivery.
Q: Where can I buy the game in person?
A: Conviction is for sale at some local game and gift shops. Please contact them for their pick-up / shipping policies. If you know of another store that should have Conviction, let us know at retail@getconviction.com.
Q: 100% profit to charity? Where are the profits going?
A: We created Conviction to channel our frustrations into something creative that lets people have fun while learning a bit about the current administration. Because the goal is to do some good with this game, and allow our supporters to as well, we are donating all of the profits to various organizations that are endangered due to Trump’s policies. These organizations support causes such as civil rights, healthcare, net neutrality, & gun control.
Q: Are you a 501(c)(3)?
A: No, unfortunately. Although we investigated what it would take to form a 501(c)(3) before launching this game, the IRS rules prevent a 501(c)(3) entity from engaging in income-generating activity that is “unrelated” to what would be our tax-exempt purpose. Since selling Conviction is not directly related to the purpose of this company – funding organizations endangered by President Trump’s policies – forming an 501(c)(3) is not in the cards for us.
